Our application process consists of 3 simple steps. Complete a student application and pay a $100 application fee, secure funding to pay for the course or program of study, then complete the interview process.

What are the admissions requirements for the Special Effects (SFX) Makeup School?
Applicants must be at least 17 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. After applying, you’ll meet with an admissions advisor to ensure the Special Effects Makeup Program aligns with your creative goals.
What is the class schedule for SFX Makeup Classes at LMI?
Classes are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Fridays through Sundays are open for work, practice, or personal projects.
What’s included in the makeup kit?
You’ll receive a professional makeup kit loaded with industry-standard products and specialized effects materials, along with books and supplies for your coursework.
LMI’s kits are hand-curated and include products from trusted professional brands like Make Up For Ever and Ben Nye.
