ACCSC Accreditation

L Makeup Institute has earned accreditation from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), demonstrating its commitment to meeting and surpassing the rigorous standards set by industry professionals and education experts through a thorough evaluation of its makeup programs’. Additionally, accredited makeup schools can offer financial aid to eligible students, making education more accessible and affordable.

Financial Aid Options at LMI

For those who qualify, L Makeup Institute offers a range of financial resources to support your educational journey. These resources include, but are not limited to:

  • U.S. Department of education
    • Any U.S. citizen or national in the United States may apply for financial assistance and include Federal Pell Grant, Federal Direct Subsidized, Federal Direct Unsubsidized, and Federal Parent Loans. L Makeup School Code: 042698
  • 529 Plans
    • The Department of Education recognizes LMI as an eligible institution for 529 Plans.
  • Scholarships
    • LMI accepts all scholarships approved by the grantee for training at L MAKEUP INSTITUTE.
  • Tribal Funding
    • LMI accepts agreements for all approved tribal-sponsored funding.
  • Veterans Affairs – MYCAA
    • L Makeup Institute is approved for participation in the Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) Scholarship. The MyCAA scholarship program provides up to $4,000 for eligible military spouses in the pursuit or maintenance of a license, certification, or associate’s degree necessary to gain employment in an occupation or career field.   • Veterans Affairs (VA) Benefits
    • LMI is approved by the Nevada Commission on Postsecondary Education and Texas Workforce Commission for the training of veterans and eligible persons under the provisions of Title 38, United States Code. This approval applies to all programs offered at both the Las Vegas, Nevada Campus and Dallas Fort-Worth, Texas Campus.
  • State Grants and Vocational Rehabilitation
    • L MAKEUP INSTITUTE accepts approved authorizations for state grants and vocational rehabilitation-sponsored funding through the Texas Workforce Commission and Nevada Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation.
  • LMI Payment Plan
    • No application or approval is needed.
  • LMI Institutional Loan
    • The L Makeup Institute offers loans to its students. We do not charge loan fees, and there is no prepayment penalty. Interest rates, monthly payment amounts, and repayment periods will vary based on the amount being financed, as well as the income and credit history of the borrower(s).

Applying for Federal Student Aid

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) is your gateway to federal grants, loans, and work-study programs to help finance your education at L Makeup Institute. Here’s a quick overview of the process:

1. Gather your Information:

  • Social Security number and your federal tax return information (or your parents’ if you are dependent).
  • Driver’s license number (optional).
  • Alien registration number (if you are not a U.S. citizen).
  • Bank account information if you want to receive your federal student aid electronically.

2. Create an FSA ID:

  • This is your username and password for accessing the FAFSA website and other federal student aid services.

3. Complete the FAFSA Form:

  • You can complete the FAFSA online at https://studentaid.gov/

4. Review your Student Aid Report (SAR):

  • The SAR summarizes your application information and estimated eligibility for federal aid.
  • Review it carefully and make any necessary corrections.

5. Accept your Makeup School Financial Aid Offer:

  • Your chosen school will send you a financial aid offer based on your FAFSA information.
  • This offer will detail the types and amounts of aid you are eligible for.
  • Review the offer carefully and select the types of aid you want to accept.
