L Makeup Institute offers an online Makeup Career Job Board. As part of job education, students are trained in setting up, updating, and managing their profiles. Upon graduation, graduates can search and apply for jobs through the online job portal, register for career and professional development activities and get their resume, portfolios and cover letters reviewed by a Career Services Representative

Program Advisory Committee

Our industry insights, guest speakers, and Professional Advisory Committee provide invaluable perspectives and insider knowledge, helping you navigate the ever-evolving landscape of the makeup industry with confidence. Consisting of industry professionals and employers, our Program Advisory Committee (P.A.C.) meets twice per year to review L Makeup Institute’s job placement performance, curriculum, and the effectiveness and relevance of our instructional methods to help improve student performance and marketability upon graduation. We also invite industry insiders and employers as guest speakers to share insights on industry trends and expectations when hiring our graduates.

Preparing Students for your Professional Makeup Career

To ensure a smooth transition from school to the professional world, students will learn how to start and manage their makeup careers. Students are given guidance in resume writing, social media presence management and portfolio development. Students are also coached on how to prepare for interviews and auditions including personal image, hygiene, punctuality, reflective listening, and client management.
